Ordering parts from Digikey
« on: 04 November, 2008, 03:40:41 PM »
Hi all,

I am going to be placing an order with digikey in the next few days (probably thursday evening) to get some parts (ZXMHHC3A01T8 drivers).  To make the process cheaper, does anyone want anything added?  Should have the parts before TIC at the end of the month.

Cheers,

J

Hi Pete,

My mistake on the part code, added an extra H and dropped of the end!

ZXMHC3A01T8CT-ND

http://www.zetex.com/3.0/pdf/ZXMHC3A01T8.pdf

is the zetec link to the datasheet.  This chip makes more sense as you can replace the 4 chips with two!

Cheers,

James

I maybe interested, got to check on my design tonight,  :-D

I was thinking of using the Allegro A3949 - http://www.allegromicro.com/en/Products ... 9/3949.pdf

At a bit of a loss what to use now

I think the Zetex devices have a significantly lower RDSon. They are simple enough to drive as well.

Good point although the On resistance is not my main concern, the drop out of allegro devices regulator is seeing as i hope to run off 2 series (or 2 series chains in parralel) Lipo's. I also had it in my mind it was a N channel bridge, which would require charge pumps  for the high side . Mornings are not my thing  :P

Could you order me 5 (1 to breadboard, 2 to fit and 2 spares) please?. Are you ordering the MOSFET drivers (MAX4427) as used in MIN4 by any chance as well? Although these are available from RS...

Thanks and regards,

Rich  :)

Hi Rich,

5 have been put asside for you.  I wasn't going to order the 4427 chips for that exact reason as they are available from RS/Farnell.  If you want me to get them, then I will, let me know the quantity.

Cheers,

James

Hi James,

Many thanks - RS birmingham is easy for me to get too, but if it helps you to get to delivery costs lower (i know Farnell has a minium order cost for personal orders) I am more than happy if you order them from Digikey.

Also if it helps I can get some from RS for you.

If you are at RoboTIC this year can I collect and settle up there?

Many Thanks,

Rich

Hi,

I also have an RS quite close to me in watford, so I already have a stock of the 4427 chips.  But thanks anyway.  I will see you later this month at RoboTIC.

Cheers,

James

Hi Rich,

The parts arrived this morning.  I will see you at RoboTIC in a couple of weeks (though, it will probably be in the afternoon, 1ish, as my daughter is playing Netball for the school on Saturday morning (she has just made the team).

Cheers,

James
